Napoleon Wrasse from Below

Napoleon Wrasse from Below, 2007 Blue Corner, Palau

Besides being an iconic species treasured by divers, the Napoleon wrasse plays a vital role in being one of only two species (the other being the trident conch) that preys upon crown of thorn seastars which are blanketing and consuming many of the world's reefs at an alarming rate.
